Countess !McConnell currenly holds the seat of the Earl of Balligar, which covers the city of [[Cellam]], Ostbrook, and the surrounding areas.  She is the only child of the previous Earl and faced some opposition to her fulfilling this role, but the backing of [[King James]] helped her assume her post.  Her presence at court still fills some of the more established peers with dread, although these days it is her formidable presence that they fear.
