## page was renamed from Dwarfish_Crowns = Dwarfish Crowns = Until fairly recently the existence of the five Dwarfish Crowns was thought to be a folklore. Before The Great Disaster, it was said, each of the five major dwarfish realms was ruled by a King, and upon the head of each of Kings sat one of the mighty and glorious Royal Crowns. Each held power of itself; they granted their ruler, it was said, the insight and wisdom to rule wisely and with compassion, while the King wore their Crown, their Delve could never be destroyed. Such stores were thought to be mere legend, half-truths blown out of all proportion by word of mouth. But dwarves, it seems, embellish such stories little. In 1285 part of the ruins of the ancient realm of Kimid-Izila, the mightiest of Dwarfish realms, was discovered. Inside the hallowed tunnels a valuable discovery was made. Two of the fabled crowns were found. The Hazakk Crown, of The Bemiris Hazakk Delve, and the Kinsarreth Crown, of The Kinsarreth Zogil Delve were discovered. Renewed interest was sparked among knowledgeable dwarfish historians. The missing crowns are now high on the wanted list. The missing crowns are the Izila Crown, of The Kimid-Izila Delve Delve (which was reputed to be the most powerful), the Habzaran Crown of the The Habzaran Delve, and the weakest one, the Khamzar crown of the The Kimid-Khamzar Delve. These immense artefacts were taken to The Kathron Delve, where they were placed on display to all Dwarves; little fuss was made outside of Dwarfish circles about their discovery. These are considered Heirlooms of the race. If the remaining crowns could be found, the story tells, then those who's rightful place it is to wear them will also step forward, and the mighty delves will be restored. ---- Back to The Dwarves
