= Nareth =

Nareth is the leading city in the Kingdom of [[Tholain]] which is in the east of the [[The Carrodian Empire|Former Empire]].  For many years it was the capital of the Empire, and many of the imperial institutions, such as [[The Imperial Library]] and [[The Imperial Academy of Magic]], were based here.  It is an impressive city, with plenty of classic architecture.  The leading building is the Palace of the Senate, which was originally built by [[Emperor Dominus]], the first emperor of [[The Antaurus Empire|the first Empire]], which was formed when Tholain invaded and conquered the other nations of the south.  This building was rebuilt when the Empire was re-formed, and is more impressive than the Imperial Palace, which is also in the city.
