## page was renamed from The_Months = The Months = The elfish calendar that Corgart began using had twelve months which are based around the phases of the moon. He selected the first day of the year as the Midwinter Festival there is little else to celebrate when daylight comes late and it gets dark very early, so pinning the new year to here turned it into a big festival. After this, the months were rolled according to the spans given them by the elfish date system, and it all fitted quite nicely. Every fourth year an additional day was needed and so Corgart had this inserted on the day before Midsummers Day every fourth year - turning Midsummer into an even bigger festival in those years. This date is just called 'Leap Years Day' and exists outside of the normal months, but still has a weekday allocated to it. It had to go into the first half of the year, otherwise it turned out that the Midsummer Festival would not occur on the longest day of the year. The months are as follows: ||'''Month'''||'''Season'''||'''Days'''|| ||Bara||Winter||31|| ||Onara|| ||30|| ||Juem|| ||30|| ||Siphus (or Ziphus)||Spring||31|| ||Abanacon|| ||30|| ||Ulunacon|| ||30|| ||Semot||Summer||31|| ||Dusemot|| ||30|| ||Lapuada|| ||30|| ||Escuada||Autumn||31|| ||Vinuada|| ||30|| ||Eluta|| ||31|| Leap year sees an additional day inserted between the months Ulunacon and Semot.
