Winston has been a friend of [[Earl Reginald Browley]] since they were children. Politically he is something of an idealist, and would love to give his full support the King. His association with Browley, however, helps him maintain a more level-headed approach to the monarchy. His ideals are frequently tested by the real-life actions of [[King James]]. Yet through all this Winston remains an optimist, and is committed to the principle of a single monarch for [[Arthea]].
