Amastia Legionnaires
Through history the Amastia military has had various organisations to support its veterans, and the current incarnation of such groups is the Amasita Legionnaires. Since unification, however, there has been no formal Amastian army, and supporting ex-servicemen has been a role assumed by ["The Legion of the Crown"].
The modern guild still supports ex-servicemen, but these days it has little call to aid and help older veterans. It focuses on providing opportunities to continue working in a military capacity, for those that have recently left the army. The work they contract for tends to be guard duties for various organisations and traders, but occasional mercenary work is called for. The guild takes on contracts wherever it can.
Alongside their more traditional membership, the guild also promotes and supports Amastian fighters with non-military backgrounds. This has turned the group into more of a traditional fighters guild. It has made survival possible.
The guild has widespread representation across Amastia, yet has no plans to move beyond the state's borders. It is also proving a popular friend to some of the groups who are focussed on restoring Amastian supremacy and the re-establishing of the Empire.
The guild has rank-related membership fees, privates can join for 80gp per year, non-commissioned officers for 120gp per year, officers for 160gp per year, and senior ranks for 240gp per year.
