Viscount Carter McGraid

Viscount of Ridstock, part of the county of Nuneith.

Carter McGraid is an old man now, and has retired from his formal duties as Viscount. He no longer attends court at Eversham, although Earl Reginald Browley often drops in to visit on his journeys to Cellam.

Carter and the Earl have been friends for many years, despite their political differences. Carter was always a staunch supporter of the King, while Browley always views what the King does with a critical eye. This never stopped them working well together or becoming close companions and colleagues during the early years of Browley's time as Earl.

Now, Carter remains in care in his official residence in Ridstock. His health was poor when he retired in 1411, but not travelling any more and being outside the political arena has really helped him relax and recover. He now gets plenty of exercise chasing the pretty young nurses that care for him each day.
