William Corgart

~770 - 831

King of the land around Callenhall which became wealthy through its trade in the early 820's. The wealth was boosted by the introduction of a calendar by Corgart, which helped him organise trade activity of his small land. Corgart was not a military man, and used his trade empire effectively. The land was such a success commercially that it was eventually conquered, but this was not until 10 years after William Corgart had died. His legacy, the calendar, was maintained; its use had become entrenched in business dealings across the north, and had spread across the south too.
