Anbartaean Warriors Guild
As with other cults, Anbartae provides warrior guild facilities for its fighters, paladins, rangers and barbarian members. Although most of its paladins are members, a large proportion of Anbartaes other warriors have also joined. While the guild strives to maintain a balance between good and evil in its teachings, there is clearly a bias toward the paladins of the group within the guild. This is due to the extra attention paladins require during their training.
While this guild does not have facilities in every town, warriors and paladins of this Guild can go to train at the local temple. Anbartae guarantees that the same quality of training will be available as here as would be available at one of the guildhouses. This is one of the ways that the guild keeps costs down.
Fortunately the recent support for Anbartae by the King James has had an effect on the whole of the religion. The guild is currently in the process of expansion, and is opening guild facilities in several larger towns where previously the only presence they had was through their temples.
Anbartae takes a very orthodox view of its membership, but still carries concessions for paladins (as the church gets most of their money anyway). It does not have any ability tests whatsoever for its members before allowing them to progress through the ranks of the guild. The only way to obtain higher levels of membership is by meeting the fees. The cost of ordinary membership is 80gp per year for normal warrior classes, and 65gp per year for paladins. Fellowship members pay 150gp (100gp for paladins). These costs are in addition to the church tithe, which members of this guild are expected to pay, as they are required to be members of the church to be members of this guild. They also stipulate that their members should also attend church "regularly" but do not lay down any specific definition for what "regularly" means.
