Baron Horado Mendez
Baron Mendez is a frontier baron - his barony is the northern part of Tesmius in north Cerlain and extends over the foothills north of the city towards the mountains. As part of his brief, he is expected to keep the mining trails that head into the mountains from here clear of bandits and goblins.
Horado is a tall man, with a neatly trimmed but greying beard, although he seems little like a member of the nobility; he gives the impression that there is an unkempt man under his fine clothing. He is in his late 30's, and keeping very active in his territory ensures he remains fit and healthy. He has a good working relationship with Tesmius' Kings Guard captain, Teyo Vargas, whom he has come to rely on in the effort to keep the mining paths safe.
