Golsandra Bay
Golsandra Bay is a large cove to the south and east of Caldonacia. The bay is not deep enough to allow large vessels, for deep hulled craft there are too many sand banks and negotiating the waters can be treacherous. The bay is plentiful with fish, and for many years supported fishing communities. War and famine, however, caused a contraction of Caldonacia - the raids by Imperial military forces fell hard on the region destroying towns and villages, and the lands to the north of the bay have been deserted for many years. The northern coast of the bay are dotted with the ruins of former fishing communities.
As the imposition of Ticetian rule has made life harder and harder for Caldonacians, there has been a small drift of people back to the region. The fish provide a ready food supply, but the numbers of people here are very low. The Caldonacian authorities take little notice of this small but growing population. The place is slowly becoming a frontier of civilisation once again, despite rumours of hauntings in some of the deserted ruined towns.
