King Garahan
1232 - 1289
Garahan Venet was the third King of the House of Venet to occupy the throne of Caldonacia. He was born in 1232, the son of King Mishael of Caldonacia. He married Elemor Danby, who was daughter of the Duke of Kimmit, in 1255.
His reign was reasonably quiet, but marred by troubles in the west of his lands from the discovery of the tomb of the Vampire Charles Derren, who was accidentally released by foolhardy treasure seekers. The people who lived in this western section of the kingdom fled the area after the troubles started, and people have not returned to this day.
Eventually Garahan sent the right people in to deal with the problem, but it remains the one matter that he is widely remembered for.
