Teyo Vargas
Captain Vargas is the senior officer of The Kings Guard in Tesmius, northern Cerlain. He is responsible for security of the city, and for the organisation of both the Kings Guard and the city Militia. To fulfil these duties well he has good working relationships with both the city's barons, Baron Horado Mendez and Baron Tomas Diaz. With the 'frontier' appeal of the city, most of Vargas' time is spent policing to the north of the city protecting the convoys and miners running to and fro into the mountains.
Vargas is an officious man, he is sometimes curt or rude, other times he seems to try a little too hard to be friendly, but always he comes over as the policeman. From the way he walks to the way he discusses even innocuous matters. It always seems he's continually investigating or looking for the 'crime'. He is, as is the case with many of those who police the streets, a good judge of character. He's perceptive and quick minded, and he has a knack of slicing through a conversation to its heart quickly.
