Wesley is a sorcerer and a member of the Barnin Onaga magic user sect. He met the party of adventurers while fleeing across the wilderness from Ticetia towards Caldonacia. The meeting was accidental, the guard who was travelling with him was killed by the party who believed them both to be evil people. Ferran himself nearly died, but the party helped him after he nearly died in the fight with them.
It turned out that Wesley was carrying one of the books of Wish Magic, and was being pursued by operatives of the Gelmhorst Verubin sect, who desired the book. The party aided Wesley and they worked together to combat those pursusing them, but did not allow him to keep the book. They headed back towards Ticetia, and made it as far as the elfish camp at Segellian before they parted company. Without the book, Ferran would no longer be a target for the Verubin's anti-Paladins.
